It’s time to journey once again to Asgard. Everyone’s favorite Norse god returns with the release today of Thor: Ragnarok. The reviews of the third stand-alone Thor movie and the 17th in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe have been invariably favorable. Variety says it’s “easily the best of the three Thor movies,” and Rolling Stone calls it “a grab-bag of insanity so off-the-chain hilarious that you stick with it even when the convoluted plot goes haywire” and adds that it “may be the most fun you’ll ever have at a Marvel movie.”
Chris Hemsworth returns in the title role, with Tom Hiddleston once again playing his adopted brother, Loki, and Idris Elba reprising his role as Heimdall. They’re joined by Mark Ruffalo (as Bruce Banner/the Hulk, no stranger to the Marvel films) and Marvel newcomers Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, and Jeff Goldblum.
As is our wont with the release of a new fantasy action-adventure series film, BU Today is hosting a trivia contest. Our lucky winner will receive two tickets to a screening tonight at AMC Loews Boston Common 19.

Each person answering all questions correctly will be entered in a drawing for two tickets to tonight’s 8 p.m. showing of Thor: Ragnarok at AMC Loews Boston Common 19.
