Senior Week 2014
Weeklong party for BU seniors kicks off tomorrow

The Class of 2014 will celebrate Senior Week by dancing at the Paradise, taking a harbor cruise, and riding the roller coaster at Six Flags. Photo courtesy of BU Senior Week 2014
After four years of grueling exams, essays, labs, and late-night library marathons, the time has come for the Class of 2014 to let loose. To mark the occasion, BU has put together a slamming Senior Week leading up to Commencement. This year’s events include a takeover of Six Flags (sold out, but there’s a waiting list), a Boston Harbor cruise, and chances to dance the night away at iconic Boston locales like the Paradise Rock Club and the House of Blues.
While some events are sold out (we’ve noted sold-out events), tickets are still available for most events and can be purchased here. Check the BU Senior Week Facebook page or the University’s official senior class website for announcements about extra ticket availability and any weather-related cancellations or changes in venue.

Saturday, May 10
Paradise Dance Party at the Paradise Rock Club
Kick off your Senior Week by heading to the Paradise Rock Club for this exclusive dance party. The venerable Boston nightlife spot will open its doors to BU seniors only, so get your celebratory groove on with fellow classmates. Party purveyor DJ Earworm will be providing the beats, and you provide the dance moves.
The Paradise Dance Party is Saturday, May 10, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Paradise Rock Club is at 967 Commonwealth Ave. Tickets are $26 and you must be 21+ to attend, so be sure to bring proper identification.
Sunday, May 11
Six Flags
The annual pilgrimage to Six Flags New England dubbed the “Thrill Capital of New England,” is nearly sold out. Those lucky enough to score a ticket will get to ride the aptly named Brain Scrambler. The $56 admission ticket covers round-trip transportation, park admission, and access to all rides.
The Six Flags trip is Sunday, May 11. Buses leave the GSU Plaza, 775 Commonwealth Ave., at 11 a.m. Return boarding begins at 5:45 p.m. Six Flags is at 1623 Main St., Agawam, Mass.

Monday, May 12
Ra Ra Riot and Kap Slap: A House of Blues Concert
Here’s an opportunity to keep the party going with all your BU pals who aren’t members of the Class of 2014. That’s right, the entire BU community is invited to head on down to the House of Blues, Boston’s classic concert venue, for this free event. Check out the energetic sounds of popular indy band Ra Ra Riot and opening act Kap Slap, the premiere party DJ. The event is 18+.
The House of Blues concert featuring Ra Ra Riot and Kap Slap is Monday, May 12, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. House of Blues is at 15 Lansdowne St. Attendees must be 18+ to attend. The event is free and there is a cash bar for guests 21+ (ID required).
Tuesday, May 13
Harbor Cruise
Here’s a final chance to gaze at the Boston skyline as you cruise Boston Harbor. Once you board the Provincetown II, you’ll be treated to free snacks, a live DJ, and a cash bar for sea-bound seniors who are 21+. The boat starts boarding at 6:45 and it’s anchors away promptly at 7:30 p.m.
The Harbor Cruise is Tuesday, May 13. The boat starts boarding at 6:45 p.m., leaves at 7:30 p.m., and returns at 11 p.m. The Provincetown II is at 200 Seaport Blvd., Boston. Tickets are $31. Attendees must be 21+ to attend. By public transportation, take any MBTA Green Line trolley to Park Street, switch to a Red Line inbound train to South Station, and take the Silver Line to the World Trade Center stop.

Senior Prost! (Cheers) at Harpoon Brewery
For landlovers who don’t want a harbor cruise, consider making your way over to Harpoon Brewery. You’ll find your fellow seniors celebrating over craft beer, food, and general merriment. This 21+ event, originally separated into two sessions, has been combined into one fun filled session beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $31 and include a brewery tour, two beers, and a fresh pretzel. Note: tickets are limited, so book early.
The Senior Prost at Harpoon Brewery, 306 Northern Ave., Boston, is at 7:30 p.m. and midnight. This event is 21+. By public transportation, take any MBTA Green Line trolley to Park Street, transfer to a Red Line inbound train to South Station, transfer to the Silver Line, and get off at Harbor Street.
Thursday, May 15
Senior Bash at the 808 Showroom
End your Senior Week on a classy note with cocktails and a live band at BU’s Art-Deco–inspired 808 Gallery. This 18+ event is open to seniors and their friends, dressed in their finest duds, who wish to dance and socialize in good company as they get ready to graduate. Tickets are $21, but the memories from this night—and all of Senior Week—are priceless.
The Senior Bash will be held at the 808 Gallery, 808 Commonwealth Ave., from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are $21, with a limit of four tickets per person. Seniors may be 18+, but any non-BU guests must be 21+.

Friday, May 16
Champagne Reception
Senior Week may be over, but you can officially start Commencement weekend at this annual reception. Raise a glass of bubbly with President Robert A. Brown, your favorite professors, family, and friends.
The Champagne Reception will be held at the Track and Tennis Center, 100 Ashford St., on Friday, May 16, at 4 p.m. Tickets are $12, with no limit on the number of tickets.
