Pumpkin Palooza: Carving for a Cause
Community Service Center event benefits many
Since it started seven years ago, the annual Pumpkin Palooza has become a favorite tradition to launch the Halloween season at BU.
This year’s Community Service Center event—which drew more than 100 students to the BU Beach—was held over two days last week. When it was over, the CSC had nearly 150 decorated pumpkins to give to area shelters, nursing homes, and other nonprofits, including Haley House, On the Rise, Victory Programs, Kenmore Abbey, and Wingate Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
