Cheap Thrills over Spring Break
Yoga, Museum of Science, and Movies

Looking for something to do over spring break that won’t break the bank? Check out hip-hop dance yoga (also referred to as Natya yoga) at the South Boston Yoga Studio, which combines classic yoga with contemporary dance. It will have you tapping into your more playful side while still receiving the tranquil benefits of yoga.
Natya Yoga is at South Boston Yoga Studio, 36 W. Broadway, South Boston, on Mondays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Admission to the first class is free.
If you are interested in learning about the science behind your origins, check out the new visiting exhibition at the Museum of Science, Race: Are We So Different? The exhibition examines the historical, biological, and cultural aspects of race.
Race: Are We So Different? is at the Boston Museum of Science, One Science Park, until May 15. Admission is $21 for adults, and includes admission to all museum halls. More information about the exhibition can be found here.
Interested in catching a free film? Head to the Boston Public Library in Copley Square. As a follow-up to Black History Month, the library is offering free screenings of Academy Award–winning films made by or featuring African Americans every Monday night throughout March. Tonight’s film is Ray, a biopic of legendary singer and pianist Ray Charles, starring Jamie Foxx in a role that won him an Oscar for best actor.
This event is at the Central Branch of the Boston Public Library, 700 Boylston Street, at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 14, and is free and open to the public.
