The cold weather is now (hopefully) behind us, and the sun is setting past 5 pm. To herald the nicer weather, here’s a list of ways to get out and enjoy your weekend.

Basant Ke Rang | Colors of Spring: Raga Music of North India

Three musicians from Mumbai, India, will take the stage at the CFA Concert Hall to play live North Indian raga music. The group includes maestro Sudhir Nayak, a master of the harmonium (a portable organ), Dhananjay Hegde, a vocalist, and master tabla (hand drums) player Yogeesh Bhat. The event is cosponsored by the BU Office for the Arts, LearnQuest Academy of Music, the BU School of Music, and the BU Center for the Study of Asia.

Thursday, April 9, 8 to 9:30 pm, CFA Concert Hall, 855 Commonwealth Ave., Boston. Tickets are free, but registration is required in advance.

College Night at the MFA

The Museum of Fine Arts invites college students for an evening of creating art, dancing, and viewing galleries this Friday. There will be “swag giveaways,” a photo booth, student-led art-making activities, a DJ, talks by MFA ambassadors about pieces of art, and a K-pop dance performance.

Friday, April 10, 5 to 8 pm, Museum of Fine Arts, 465 Huntington Ave., Boston. Admission is free for students. See the full schedule here.

Slow Art Day at the Boston Athenaeum

The Boston Athenaeum is hosting Slow Art Day this Saturday. The museum invites participants to explore its first floor free of charge, either on their own or by joining a guided session. Those who choose the guided sessions will view a selected piece of art for 10 minutes and then have the opportunity to share their thoughts and join a discussion about the piece. Those going solo can use the athenaeum’s written guiding questions to explore a piece of art alone.

Saturday, April 11, 9 am to 3 pm, Boston Athenaeum, 10 ½ Beacon St., Boston. This event is free. Find more information here.

Rosie’s Place Drive by One Love at BU

One Love at BU is hosting an in-person drive for Rosie’s Place—a shelter and community center serving women in Boston—with a free brunch. Participants are invited to donate toiletries like toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, and body wash, as well as books. Brunch will be available until the food runs out.

Saturday, April 11, 11 am to 2 pm, George Sherman Union, 775 Commonwealth Ave., Boston. The event is free, and you can reserve a spot here.

Beneath the Celestial Sky: Zodiacs in Orbit

Come see the BU Fashion & Retail Association’s spring fashion show. Each student-designed piece “embodies the essence of a sign and the elements of the earth: the bold intensity of fire, the grounded elegance of earth, the fluid curiosity of air, and the emotional depth of water,” according to the event’s description. There will also be free food and swag.

Saturday, April 11, 4:30 to 7 pm, Metcalf Trustee Ballroom, 1 Silber Way. Tickets are $12 for BU students; buy them here.

Small Mart: Vintage, Maker & Artisan Market

Come meander and explore pieces by 40 artists, creators, and vendors selling unique items at this vintage, maker, and artisan market. There will be drinks for sale, too.

Sunday, April 12, 11 am to 4 pm, Crystal Ballroom at Somerville Theatre, 55 Davis Square, Somerville.
