Annual SMG Charity Casino Night features games, prizes, performances, and food

What can $10 get you these days? At the School of Management’s annual Casino Night on Saturday, January 30, it will score you game chips, live performances, food, and a chance to come away with some serious raffle prizes.
And while you play Texas hold ’em, blackjack, roulette, and more, you can feel good knowing the proceeds of the event will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston.
You could leave the proud owner of a Tiffany’s & Co. sterling silver bracelet or HBO prize packs that include seasons of Sex and the City or True Blood. And one lucky person’s name will be called for two free nights in the luxurious Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard.
The student groups Aural Fixation, Treblemakers, Chordially Yours, Suno, and Fusion will perform, and appetizers and desserts will be provided by Catering on the Charles. A cash bar is available for those over 21.
Last year’s event raised $2,600 for Boston Medical Center.
The SMG Student Government, the CAS Forum, the Student Union, the Sargent Student Government, Sigma Alpha Mu, and the Warren RHA are contributing to this event.
Casino Night will take place on Saturday, January 30, from 8 p.m. to midnight in the George Sherman Union Metcalf Hall, 775 Comm Ave. Cocktail attire is requested. Tickets are $10, in advance or at the door, and can be purchased throughout the week at the GSU Link, Warren Towers Dining Hall, West Campus Dining Hall, and the SMG Atrium.
