BUPD: Protecting Your Bike
Monday event to help with bike, laptop recovery

The Boston University Police Department will visit Sleeper Hall on Monday, October 6, to help students, faculty, and staff learn how to protect their bicycles, laptops, and other valuables.
Bikes and laptops are often targeted by thieves because they are left unattended or inadequately locked up, making them easy to steal. The BUPD will register and engrave bikes, laptops, and other items to help recover them if they’re stolen. The police will also provide information about RAD (rape aggression defense) classes held at BU, and additional BUPD services.
Staff members from Urban AdvenTours, which runs bicycle tours of Boston, will also be on hand to discuss bike safety in Boston.
The free event takes place on Monday, October 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Sleeper Hall lobby, 275 Babcock St.
