Auction Preview Begins
PRC opening receptions tonight

More than 100 years of photography are represented on the walls of the Photographic Resource Center — and unlike the major museums where their counterparts rest, these photographs are for sale. Opening receptions take place today, October2, at 5:30 p.m., at the PRC and at the 808 Gallery and are free and open to the public.
Nearly 200 photographs — including work by Ansel Adams, Bradford Washburn (Hon.’96), Frank Gohlke, and William Wegman, among others — will be auctioned off October 25 to support the PRC and its operations and programming. A preview exhibition of more than 30 donated and vintage prints selected for the live auction will run through October 19 at the PRC; a preview exhibition of more than 150 works available at the silent auction will be held at the same time at the nearby 808 Gallery at Boston University.
The opening receptions for the PRC’s exhibition of photographs in its annual auction are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, at the PRC, 832 Commonwealth Ave., and at the 808 Gallery, 808 Commonwealth Ave. The receptions are free and open to the public.
