New Attending Cardiologist at BMC

Six physicians joined Boston Medical Center’s cardiovascular medicine division this year, including A. David Litvak as an interventional cardiologist. Litvak came to BMC in September because he wanted to return to academic medicine and pursue an interest in peripheral vascular interventions.

Litvak, who graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University in 1998, specializes in interventional cardiology, which deals specifically with nonsurgical procedures for treating cardiovascular disease.

“BMC has an exceptional cardiology department with smart, hardworking physicians,” he says. “Rather than competing with other fields, I am closely working with vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists to provide the best possible care for vascular disease.”

Litvak has a private practice at South Shore Cardiology in Weymouth, Mass., and has contributed to numerous medical journals and publications.
