Adam Segal Appointed MED Assistant Professor
Adam Segal was appointed a MED assistant professor of medicine and an attending nephrologist at BMC.
Adam Segal has been appointed an assistant professor of medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine and an attending nephrologist in the department of medicine at Boston Medical Center.
Segal, whose research interests include chronic kidney disease and glomerular disease, earned a medical degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and later trained in the United Kingdom. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pa., and a nephrology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. There, Segal worked in the laboratory of Stewart Lecker, studying the molecular mechanisms behind the muscle wasting that occurs in chronic kidney disease.
A member of the Massachusetts Medical Society, the American Society of Nephrology, and the American College of Physicians, Segal has presented at many medical conferences.
