PhD candidate Leyla Jafarova wins 2nd place for the Peter K. Student Research Award

Congratulations to Leyla Jafarova, who is the 2nd place winner of the 2024 Peter K. Student Research Award for her submission, “Ethics, Epistemologies, and Humanitarianism: Exploring Alternative Ways of Knowing about Missing Persons in Post-War Azerbaijan.”

The award is presented each year by the Society for Applied Anthropology. In addition to a cash prize of $1500, Leyla  will also present her paper at a featured session during the 84th Annual Meeting of the Society for Applied Anthropology, and following peer review, her paper could be accepted for publication in the journal Human Organization.
