This course examines how global sport is shaped by historical, economic, cultural, and political forces. Students will research and analyze how sport both reflects and influences broader global dynamics through case studies spanning regions, themes, and sporting traditions. Effective Fall 2026, this course fulfills a single requirement in each of the following BU Hub areas: Global Citizenship and Intercultural Literacy, Social Inquiry 1, Teamwork/Collaboration.
