How has warfare, and the preparation for it, shaped the American experience? In this course, students use film (documentaries, movies, and primary source material) to explore how warfare and the building and sustaining of the American military as an institution has influenced the US economy, culture, and society. Effective Spring 2025, this course fulfills a single requirement in each of the following BU Hub areas: Historical Consciousness, Social Inquiry I, Digital/Multimedia Expression.
