College of Engineering Policy


The College of Engineering follows University policy for Adding and Dropping standard courses. Exceptions to this policy include module courses, such as ENG EK 131/132 and ENG EK 102 that are non-standard courses. As these courses meet for half of the semester, a module section change may only occur during the first week of instruction.


To add or drop a course, eligible students may use WebReg on the Student Link or complete an Add/Drop Form, available from their department/division office, the Graduate Programs office, or at the University Registrar website. Students should consult with their advisors before adding or dropping a course.

A standard course dropped during the first five weeks of classes will not appear on the student’s permanent record. A standard course dropped after the first five weeks of classes will appear on the student’s record as W, and the student will be charged for the course.

Standard courses may be dropped up to the end of the 10th week of classes. After that point, no course may be dropped. See the important dates on the University Registrar website.
