Dear BU Families,

New students will be able to move-in on Saturday, August 23 or Sunday, August 24, and New Student Orientation programming and events will take place from Monday, August 25–Friday, August 29. For more information about Orientation, please visit the website. Returning students will be able to move-in from Friday, August 29, to Monday, September 1.

Our hotel room blocks for both move-in periods have been announced and are available in the “News & Updates” section on the right side of this webpage. As you prepare for move-in, please check-out our Fall Welcome Events for incoming (new) and returning families. We look forward to seeing you during move-in!

The Know Before You Go series, our virtual parent & family orientation program, ran from Tuesday, May 13-Tuesday, June 24. These weekly sessions were recorded and are available for viewing throughout the summer months. In addition, you are invited to take the Orientation Online Course. Family members should select “guest log in” to begin the course. 

A great way to stay informed is to join our Terrier Family Network. As a member, you’ll have access to our portal for important updates, a calendar, and news about the university. In addition, you will receive our newsletter to ensure that you have the most up-to-date, accurate information about your student’s BU journey. We also recommend that you follow our own Next Steps Checklist for New BU Families as a guide.
