The Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future will host an informational meeting about science and technology policy fellowships offered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) to recent PhDs as well as mid-career scientists and engineers. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, Oct.17 at 4:30 pm at Pardee House, 67 Bay State Road.
The AAAS fellowships provide year-long assignments (based on the academic year) for scientists and engineers to work in Washington, D.C. in Congressional offices or federal agencies to learn about the role of science in federal programs and policies. More than 2,800 academic scientists and engineers have participated in the program since it was founded 40 years ago. The deadline for applications for the 2014-2015 fellowships is November 1.
