Global Fridays Film Series – Focus on Food & Farming (Spring 2015)
The Center for the Study of Europe is once again participating in Global Fridays, a collaborative initiative of the Pardee School’s Division of Regional Studies, aimed at promoting cultural understanding through film. This semester’s series aims to shed light on the global food system and to trace the origins of the food we eat. “The Real Dirt on Farmer John,” the first film in the series, is playing on Friday, February 6. This film and all others will be shown at 4 PM at BU’s College of Communication, 640 Commonwealth Avenue, Room B-OF. Check out the flyer below to learn more about the films that are a part of the series. Big thanks to our friends in BU’s Film and Television Department for use of their screening room!
This initiative is sponsored in part by the Center for the Study of Asia, the Center for the Study of Europe, the Institute for the Study of Muslim Societies and Civilizations, the Latin American Studies Program, and the Gastronomy Program at BU’s Metropolitan College.
