The ERC provides academic support programs to the Boston University
community. We work with students across colleges and disciplines,
helping them meet their academic goals and excel in their studies.
The ERC offers Peer Tutoring,
the Writing Center, Language
Link conversation groups, Organic
Chemistry Preparatory Course (Orgo Prep), Workshops, and the Contingent Aid Program.
The ERC professional staff is also available to meet with students
individually to develop a personalized plan for academic success
and/or to assist them in developing specific skills. These services
are free and can benefit all students who are interested in improving
their academic performance. In addition, the ERC manages the Freshman
and Transfer Resource Advisor Program for the College of Arts
and Sciences (CAS).
Requesting a Peer Tutor
The ERC makes every effort to complete tutor assignments within 7 business days of receiving the tutoring request (subject to availability of tutors).
For example, if you place your request on January 21st, your request will be processed by January 30th.
If you are interested in obtaining a tutor, please come to the ERC and complete the registration and request process.
