Update on “Indonesian Pluralities”
Dr. Bob Hefner continued his travel to Indonesia in Jan. & March, shooting & editing of the 3 of 6 films in the Henry Luce Foundation funded series, “Indonesian Pluralities.” It shows the diversity of social and religious life in Indonesia, and the challenge this poses for citizenship and peace in this largest Muslim society in the world. 2 of the films in the series have been released in Indonesia. The 1st film has been shown in more than 100 university, NGO, and theater settings. Work has just begun on the 4th, which focuses on Muslim women in today’s Indonesia.
