We submitted an application and were selected to design a piano dedicated to chemistry. We were excited to be selected and now have a piano to be decorated!
Nearly all chemists have a favorite molecule and we would like to take submissions from you that states yours with a short sentence of why (see below for examples).
We will then paint the molecules and the information onto the piano. We are not allowed to indicate people’s names or affiliations on the piano, but we’ll publish all contributions on our website (with permission). We hope that this will be a great exhibition of the beauty of science and also help to inform people how important they are to nearly all aspects of life.
We will keep you updated with photos as the piano is getting painted. In August we will learn and subsequently inform everyone exactly where the piano will be located so you can visit it and see your favorite molecule on display and hopefully someone playing the piano you helped create!
We will be taking submissions until August 10. You can send an email to beelerresearchgroup@gmail.com or submit the name of your molecule below!
