Ali Bane, Director of Programs Ali Bane is thrilled to join the College of Arts & Sciences as the Director of the Office Student Programs and Leadership. Ali comes to BU with extensive experience working in student affairs and first year programs at three different Boston area campuses. Hailing most recently from the US Department of Education, she is passionately committed to helping students successfully transition to college and providing them the support they need to not only persist, but thrive. Ali received her BA in Theater Arts and Communication from Boston College and her graduate degree in higher education administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Kara Durocher, Program Manager Kara Durocher is excited to return to Boston University to take on the role of program manager in the College of Arts & Sciences Office of Student Programs & Leadership. A 2008 graduate of CAS and a 2009 graduate of SED with a master of education in counseling, Kara brings the perspective of a past student in planning future programs.

Kaitlyn Soares, Administrative Coordinator Kaitlyn Soares joined the Office of Student Programs and Leadership in September 2011. She graduated from Emmanuel College in May 2011 with a degree in Communication, Media, & Cultural Studies and Global Studies & International Affairs, and she is currently earning her MS in Advertising at the BU College of Communication. Kaitlyn manages our office activities and social media accounts.
