  1. Anyone who says that science isn’t cool clearly hasn’t taken the time to look into what researchers are capable of these days…thanks for the article and explaining things in a manner we can all understand.

  3. This is amazing!
Cutting edge research that is giving hope to those afflicted with these illnesses and had believed there wasnt any recourse or solution!
Its wonderful to see this research is being recognized and funded!
These scientists are the true definition of super heros!

  4. I have Sickle Call Anemia and if this is a strong possibility I could only imagine how much my future couldn’t be changed for the better, for a better quality of life, a life with no pain everyday or blood exchanges, and not being able to actually keep a job due to being in and out of the hospital for weeks and months at a time every few months and not having to worry about whether or not you could have kids or should have kids because you could possibly pass it on to them and watch them go through it. I hope and pray for the ones involved in this that they achieve their dreams and goals of making this possible. It will be LIFE CHANGING, FOR SO MANY INCLUDING MYSELF.
