I am a Lead Client Support Specialist for the Service Desk in the IT Help Center. I am new to BU having just started early February 2016. We provide centralized technology support via phone, email and our walk-in centers. A couple of the services we provide include account services and Blackboard support.
I come to Boston University with over 20 years of support experience. I was a Technology Services Manager at Tufts University where I spent over five years supervising their central service desk and deskside technicians as well as overseeing a number of service improvement projects. Prior to Tufts, I was a Regional Support Manager for Fidelity Investments for more than eight years. Most recently, I held a position with HCL America where I oversaw a remote support center in North Carolina for American Tower.
A couple of interesting facts about me:
I started at Fidelity Investments as a senior in high school. It was a 3 month, temporary part-time position that grew into a 28 year career with them.
I run a couple 5k races each year in October. One is for the Friends of Oak Grove in Malden and the other for the Melrose YMCA. Costumes are encouraged. I have won best costume a few times at each race. Costumes have included, a banana (ran with 4 others also dressed as bananas so we were a bunch of bananas), Sully from Monsters, Inc., Tigger, Jack Skellington from A Nightmare Before Christmas, Mr. Incredible from The Incredibles, and Pac-man with my wife as Pinky the ghost.
