SCV has recently acquired the MATLAB Parallel Computing Toolbox. This toolbox enables users to solve computationally-intensive and data-intensive problems on multicored personal computers, laptops, or the Katana Linux Cluster. Parallel processing operations such as parallel for-loops, parallel numerical algorithms, and message-passing functions let you implement task- and data-parallel algorithms in MATLAB. Converting serial MATLAB applications to parallel MATLAB applications require few code modifications and no programming in a low-level language. To introduce MATLAB users to this toolbox, a two-hour workshop will be held at Boston University on June 16, 2009 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. There is no fee for the workshop and it is open to all Boston University students, faculty and staff.

Advance registration is required and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please visit the links below for the registration form and additional information.
