NEIDL Researchers Discover New SARS-CoV-2 Weak Spot—Which Could Inspire Improved Vaccines

The staff inside the triage tent assessed patients’ symptoms and determined whether they could receive care through BMC’s influenza-like illness clinic (ILI) for more moderate symptoms, or if they needed to go to the Emergency Department for more serious conditions. The COVID-positive patient census at BMC skyrocketed from 22 patients on March 24, 2020, to 121 patients in just eight days, and reached 219 by April 9.
