Merryn

Student Services Coordinator

Merryn McDonnell joined the Boston University Sydney team in March of the Spring 2024 semester.

She began her career working as a Media Learning Coordinator for SYN Media. In this role Merryn trained young people to be presenters on broadcast radio. She has since worked as a Training Coordinator for the Community Media Training Organisation, where she organised and facilitated training in the community broadcast sector for volunteers and staff. Merryn has a degree in Journalism from The University of Queensland and an interest in theatre (improv comedy and clowning) which she hopes make her presentations on medical insurance more engaging.

In her role as Student Services Coordinator, Merryn supports students in wellbeing matters, visa administration, plans events and manages several communication projects.

Merryn is passionate about engaging with and empowering young people. She feels very lucky to be able to work with so many amazing students at BU Sydney and feels honoured to be part of their study abroad experience.
