Why I became an RSL:

I chose to become an RSL because I’m passionate about helping BU become a more environmentally conscious community. I see college campuses as powerful places for change, and I want to be part of the effort to reduce waste, conserve resources, and support BU’s transition to cleaner energy and more sustainable transportation options. For me, sustainability isn’t just about reducing waste or conserving energy, it’s about changing the way we live, connect, and use resources together. Universities are full of potential for change, and I’m excited to engage with that by working with students from all backgrounds who bring creative perspectives. My goal as an RSL is to help build a community where sustainability is part of everyday decision-making. That could mean leading new projects, supporting campus initiatives, or simply being a point of connection for students who want to get involved. I love that I can contribute to BU’s larger environmental goals, and I’m proud to be part of a team working toward a more climate conscious future.

What I hope to accomplish: 

This year, I want to be more intentional about creating meaningful connections with students across campus. One of my goals is to have as many conversations as possible whether through tabling, campus events, or casual interactions. I’m especially interested in framing sustainability in ways that resonate with diverse interests like fashion, food, sports, or social justice so students can see how environmental action fits naturally into the things they already care about. My hope is that these interactions will not only inspire individuals to take small, meaningful steps but also help them realize that even the simplest ideas can lead to a larger collective impact. Another key focus for me this year is strengthening our collaboration with student organizations in the Environmental Leadership Network. I want to work more with these groups by supporting their initiatives and sharing resources to build a stronger sustainability community at BU.
