Orientation by Program
On-Campus (Boston-Charles River) Program
2026 Orientation Date: Wednesday, September 2nd. 8:30 AM – 5 PM
Location: George Sherman Union building, Metcalf Ballroom (2nd Floor)
- Orientation will introduce you to our MSW program and the various resources available to you.
- Details will be shared via email and posted here as they become available.
- Please keep an eye on your inbox for important information and updates.
- Please note this orientation is mandatory.

Worcester Hybrid MSW Program
2026 Orientation: Tuesday, August 18, 2026 6:00 – 8:00pm
- This is a required event for all incoming Worcester Hybrid students where you will have the opportunity to learn about the expectations and structure of the programs, explore systems you will be working in during your tenure at BUSSW, and get to know the other members of your campus cohort.
- Please note this orientation is mandatory.
- Location: College of the Holy Cross, Stein Hall, Room 223. Free parking available in the parking garage on Kimball Road.
Additionally, students are expected to either attend or view a video recording of the Social Work Ethics Panel Presentation taking place on August 27, 7:30-8:30pm
Please REGISTER for this event to receive the link and recording of the panel. This event is an opportunity to learn more about practice ethics specific to the field of social work and is organized by BUSSW faculty members.
Please review and complete the required Attestation Form for incoming Worcester Hybrid Program Students prior to the start of class. This will contain links to important policies and procedures for the School of Social Work as well as two mandatory trainings. This will be reviewed during orientation on August 18 to address any questions.
