Prof. Bronwyn Keefe of Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) has been named a Tideswell Emerging Leader in Aging Scholar by the University of California San Francisco (UCSF).

As a Tideswell Emerging Leader in Aging Scholar, Keefe will join UCSF’s yearlong Emerging Leaders in Aging Program which facilitates collaboration between a small group of leading scholars in the aging field. The scholars will work together to develop strategies that address challenges and opportunities faced by their respective organizations. Keefe’s focus will be the two programs she directs at BUSSW: the Center for Aging & Disability Education & Research (CADER) and The Network for Professional Education. To date, these programs have led to the training of more than 20,000 workers and collaborations with over 450 community-based agencies and state organizations in the aging field.

In addition to her roles as director of CADER and The Network, Keefe is the assistant dean of workforce and professional development and a research assistant professor at BUSSW. She also leads the Aging specialization for the school’s on-campus Master of Social Work program.
