On July 1, 2022, Prof. Bronwyn Keefe will hold the new role of Assistant Dean of Workforce and Professional Development.  In this role, Keefe will lead workforce and professional development at BUSSW while collaborating with BU’s Digital Learning & Innovation and other key BU partners.

quotation markOver the last 10 years, Prof. Keefe has dedicated her career to educating social workers and health practitioners, particularly in the field of aging. She has trained over 20,000 workers, and provided training to more than 450 community organizations and state agencies. Recently she was awarded the Geriatric Academic Career Award from the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA). Prof. Keefe has successfully secured millions of dollars in funding from external contracts enabling CADER to train professionals in New York, Massachusetts, California, Florida, and beyond.

Prof. Keefe is a national leader in professional workforce development in the field of social work and aging. She was selected as an Emerging Leader in Aging Scholar through the Tideswell Program at University of California San Francisco. As the Vice President of the Board for Massachusetts Gerontology Association, an Eldercare Workforce Alliance Board Member, an Older Adult Behavioral Health Steering Committee member, and member of the Education and Training Committee at the National Association for Geriatric Education, she directly influences programs and policies across the country.”
