The Health Communications Program Assistant develops and implements promotional materials and marketing strategies to communicate wellness resources and events.
Eligibility requirements:
Incoming or continuing student enrolled in a graduate program at Boston University.
Opportunities include:
- Create plain language health communications that align with strategic priorities
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to advertise wellness resources and events
- Manage Student Health Services social media accounts
- Conduct research to inform and evaluate programs
- Collaborate with various departments at Boston University
- Assist with program and office administration
An ideal candidate will have:
- An interest in well-being and eye for plain language
- Experience with graphic design programs, including Canva and Photoshop
- Strong skills in project management, communication, and collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and make well-informed decisions
- Experience incorporating concepts of diversity, inclusion, and social justice in health promotion
Time commitment:
- This position will be in person for 2025-2026 academic year, with potential for virtual onboarding
- Approximately 10 hours per week beginning in August 2024 and ending in May 2025, with the potential to extend to the following academic year.
- May be required to work occasional evenings and weekends
