Am I eligible for medical care at SHS?
We have resources for all students, but your eligibility for medical services varies depending on your student status:
- If you are a full-time, on-campus undergraduate or graduate student, you are eligible for medical care at SHS—regardless of what health insurance plan you have.
- Part-time, on-campus students who are enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) are also eligible for medical care.
- Part-time, on-campus students who have not enrolled in the SHIP plan are not eligible for medical care but can contact SHS for help finding healthcare in the community.
Students in online-only programs are not eligible for medical care.
How much do medical services cost at SHS?
Students who are eligible for services can schedule an appointment free of charge. Certain services and supplies—such as immunizations and crutches—may have a fee.
- If you have the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), many services are covered and have no additional cost to you. These include physical exams, lab tests, immunizations, and more. Learn more about SHIP benefits.
- If you do not have SHIP, services and treatment—such as physical exams, immunizations, medical supplies, and lab tests—will have a fee. Learn more about costs at SHS.
