Health Promotion Program Assistants
Support large-scale programs and projects on a variety of health topics.
Program Assistants work with Health Promotion & Prevention staff to manage and evaluate prevention programs, execute digital media and marketing strategies, and develop new offerings to meet the needs of BU students.
Application Requirements
- Enrolled in a BU graduate program
- Available to work 15 hours per week
Mental Health and Substance Use Program Assistant
This position supports mental health promotion projects and substance use education.
Past projects have included:
- Managing stress relief kits
- Supporting All Ears’ peer listening program
- Facilitating mindfulness workshops
- Creating safer substance use resources
Peer Education Program Assistant
This position supports the overall operations and programming of the Student Health Ambassadors. Past projects included:
- Recruiting and training SHAs
- Facilitating evaluation process
- Coordinating SHA outreach efforts
Sexual Health Program Assistant
This position supports sexual health programming and resources. Past projects included:
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of Condom Fairy
- Developing content for the Condom Fairy newsletter
- Planning and coordinating the annual Sex In the Dark event
Recovery Program Assistant
This position helps support students in recovery and promotes recovery in the BU community. Past responsibilities and projects have included:
- Leading All Recovery Meetings for BU students
- Coordinate events and facilitate connections for students in the BU Recovery Community
- Lead student recovery panels and other opportunities to promote recovery in the BU community
Marketing & Communications Program Assistant
This positions help develop and implement promotional materials and marketing strategies to communicate wellness resources and events. Past responsibilities and projects have included:
- Creating content for social media
- Support writing newsletter articles
- Support designing digital and print materials
