The Health Communications Program Assistant develops and implements promotional materials and marketing strategies to communicate wellness resources and events.

Eligibility requirements:

Incoming or continuing student enrolled in a graduate program at Boston University.

Opportunities include:

  • Create plain language health communications that align with strategic priorities
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to advertise wellness resources and events
  • Manage Student Health Services social media accounts
  • Conduct research to inform and evaluate programs
  • Collaborate with various departments at Boston University
  • Assist with program and office administration

An ideal candidate will have:

  • An interest in well-being and eye for plain language
  • Experience with graphic design programs, including Canva and Photoshop
  • Strong skills in project management, communication, and collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and make well-informed decisions
  • Experience incorporating concepts of diversity, inclusion, and social justice in health promotion

Time commitment:

  • This position will be in person for 2025-2026 academic year, with potential for virtual onboarding
  • Approximately 10 hours per week beginning in August 2024 and ending in May 2025, with the potential to extend to the following academic year.
  • May be required to work occasional evenings and weekends
