Dr. Rider is a cancer epidemiologist focusing primarily on prostate cancer. She is interested in the role of modifiable lifestyle factors in cancer development and progression, as well as the identification of tumor biomarkers that can improve disease management. She collaborates on several studies based in Sweden, including the landmark Scandinavian Prostate Cancer Group-4 (SPCG-4) trial of radical prostatectomy vs. watchful waiting, and on several established US-based prospective cohort studies. Dr. Rider is a Consulting Editor for European Urology and an Associate Editor for Cancer Causes and Control. In 2013 she received a Prostate Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award.
