Dr. Remick, is Chair emeritus and Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. An active researcher, he has been continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health for over 29 years to study the basic pathology of disease. Dr. Remick has authored more than 270 peer reviewed manuscripts and has been invited to speak worldwide about his research. A leader in pathology he has served on the councils of several national organizations including President of the American Society of Investigative Pathology.
Dr. Remick has a long standing interest in developing state-of-the-art biobanks that may be used to understand the pathogenesis of disease. He established the Biospecimen Archive Research Core, known as the BARC, which collects and preserves high quality biospecimens. Members of the BARC have been invited to speak about initiatives in biobanking.
