Dr. Hirsch collaborates closely with colleagues to improve prostate cancer treatment and mentors many medical students in cancer research. Her primary clinical interests are genitourinary (most commonly prostate) and breast cancer. Her prostate related research interests include investigating prostate cancer outcomes and devising patient specific radiation treatments with three dimensional prostate modeling. She is the principal investigator on a phase 1/2 study examining the use of radiosurgery for high risk prostate cancer. Her research has resulted in numerous publications and presentations. In 2017 and 2016 she was named a “Top Doc” by Boston Magazine.
