Outreach Coordinator,
Lecturer in Spanish

Azlín Perdomo teaches Spanish language courses at all levels, using a project-based, communicative, and thematic approach to language learning. Her teaching emphasizes meaningful engagement with authentic cultural content, encouraging students to build linguistic proficiency while developing intercultural competence, critical thinking skills, and a deeper understanding of diverse viewpoints.

Through her courses, Perdomo invites students to engage with the experiences, histories, and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world in ways that challenge assumptions and broaden their understanding. She believes that language learning provides a space for students to reflect on their identities, engage thoughtfully with others, and examine complex social and cultural issues from multiple perspectives. She strives to inspire students to apply what they learn in the classroom to make meaningful contributions to their communities and to become thoughtful, engaged global citizens.
