RS Students Present Literary Salon
Romance Studies doctoral students in Spanish presented a literary salon last week, featuring readings of original work by several of our students, including Bruno Nassi Peric, David Shames, Gerardo Cruz Jorge Sanchez, Laura Mayron, Laurie Garriga, and Sarai Garcia. Silva Santiesteban Elected to Peruvian Congress
BU alumna Rocio Silva Santiesteban has won election to the Peruvian Congress, representing the capital city of Lima. Silva Santiesteban ran as a candidate of the Frente Amplio (Broad Front), a left-wing coalition. The Frente Amplio received 6% of the vote, giving it nine seats in the new congress.
Moterlé Publishes Short Story Collection
Veronique Moterlé, lecturer in French, has published a collection of short stories titled Pluies d’Eté. The book, written in French, contains three short stories on themes of love, childhood, and memory. Great work, Veronique!
