Cazenave Co-Edits Book, Saar Contributes Article

Earlier this summer, a special issue of Interculturel Francophonies was released, focussed on the Mauritian Writer Ananda Devi, and co-edited by Odile Cazenave (Professor of French here at BU) and Emmanuel Bruno Jean-François (Penn State University). Ananda Devi was the 2024 recipient of the Neustadt literary award.

The volume encompasses contributions by both academics and writers, including a short story by Ananda Devi herself. Among the academic contributions is an article by Kara Saar, one of our doctoral students in French, on “Révolte féminine : interpellation, assujettissement et mobilité dans Le Rire des déesses.”
