Quispe Publishes on Luis Cernuda
The Boletín de la Academica Peruana de la Lengua has published an article by our student José Quispe. Quispe is a PhD student in our Hispanic Language & Literatures program.
Quispe tells us:
“The paper is about the poetic work of Luis Cernuda during his years of exile due to the Spanish Civil War, and how he dedicated himself to reading poets from the Spanish Golden Age to connect with his Spanish roots. This essay is a small preview of my research on the poetic and critical work of three Spanish poets in exile who dedicated themselves to teaching in the United States: Luis Cernuda, Jorge Guillén, and Pedro Salinas.”
