The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures (RLL) at the University of Michigan invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Global French Studies to begin August 26, 2024. We seek a colleague whose research and teaching focus on the transnational dynamics that have shaped the historically French-speaking world. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level. We seek a scholar with interdisciplinary interests, exceptional promise, and a strong commitment to research, teaching and service. We would especially welcome applicants whose expertise includes Francophone Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, trans-Pacific studies and Asia Pacific studies, the greater Mediterranean, and the French of the Americas.
