Braden Clinger Publishes Article

Braden Clinger, a student in our doctoral program in Hispanic Language & Literatures, has published an article in the Arizona Journal of Hispanic Cultural Studies, vol. 26. Braden’s article is titled “Mete uno, pero no todos:’ Gustavo Alatriste, Luis Buñuel y la adaptación de La casa de Bernarda Alba (1982)”.

In this article Braden uses archival materials from Houghton Library, the Spanish Biblioteca Nacional, and the García Lorca archive, along with an interview he conducted with actress Laura Cepeda Golferichs, to establish Luis Buñuel’s involvement in Gustavo Alatriste’s unauthorized adaptation of La casa de Bernarda Alba and to examine the adaptive choices made by the filmmakers.
