Claretta Tonetti to Retire
Claretta Micheletti Tonetti, who has taught Italian at BU for many years, will retire at the end of the spring 2021 term.
Italian Overall Coordinator Laura Brusetti McGinn commented on Tonetti’s impending retirement:
Claretta Micheletti Tonetti was celebrated for her superior teaching career and outstanding contributions to the RS and Italian department on Thursday, April 8th. Her many dear friends and colleagues as well as family members shared fond memories and wonderful experiences with Claretta and wished her all the best as she embarks on a new adventure that all are sure will spark more of her creative work in the fields of art, film, and literature. We will all miss our dear colleague but she has promised to continue to visit our department and hopes to meet up with many in her Bella Italia. Auguri cara Claretta e a presto!
Tonetti is a Senior Lecturer in Italian. She was educated in Italy, receiving her Laurea from the Università Cattolica di Milano.
