2 HISP Students Defend Dissertation

Two students in our doctoral program in Hispanic Language & Literatures have successfully defended their dissertations this spring term.

Carolina Blázquez Gándara wrote her dissertation on ‘Plumas de rayo y viento’:  Cesar Vallejo in Blas de Otero, under the direction of Prof. Alan Smith.

Inès Ouedraogo defended her dissertation, Devouring Patriarchy:  Cultural Cannibalism & Pleasure Politics in the Brazilian Popporn Festival, written under the guidance of Prof. Rodrigo Lopes de Barros.

Congratulations to them both!
