Mathieu Pens Book Review

Lionel Mathieu, Lecturer in French, has published a review of Language, Literacy, & Technology by Richard Kern.

Mathieu tells us:

Language, Literacy, and Technology (Kern, 2019) is the culminating work of years of thinking and writing about the multiple ways material media and technologies have shaped the ways we read, write, and share knowledge across times, places, languages, and cultures. Through the lens of highly penetrating examples, situations, and practices, Kern transports readers through an exploration of the interdependencies that have always existed between material, social, and individuals resources undergirding language use and communication technologies. This review modestly attempts to synopsize Kern’s brilliant treatise.

Mathieu’s review can be found on Linguist List.
