Edgardo Tormos Bigles, Sarai Garcia Santos, and José Nogales Baena, all doctoral students in our Hispanic Language & Literatures program, presented at this year’s XXIV Congreso de Literatura Mexicana Contemporánea, in El Paso, Texas.

All three were on a panel titled “Intelectuales en los medios:  Del México de la Revolución al de la Guerra Fría” (“Intellectuals in the Media: From the Mexico of the Revolution to the Cold War”). Each of them reflected on the role of Mexican intellectuals at some key point in the history of the country: the Revolution, the conformation of the post-revolutionary state, and Mexico in the period immediately after the Second World War.
