Cyber Alliance Seminar Series: Ignacio Cofone, Professor of Law and Regulation of AI, University of Oxford

Bio: Ignacio Cofone is the Professor of Law and Regulation of AI at the University of Oxford, working jointly at the Faculty of Law and the Institute for Ethics in AI. He is also a governing body fellow of Reuben College and an affiliated fellow at the Yale Information Society Project. Cofone is interested in AI and data governance with a focus on regulatory design and remedies. His current projects propose how to evaluate harms from AI inferences and how to address AI discrimination. Cofone's book, The Privacy Fallacy: Harm and Power in the Information Economy (CUP), examines how to build accountability for data practices into the information economy.
