Visiting Faculty and Staff

University Faculty may invite Visiting Faculty and Research Scholars to join their research, as long as they meet required criteria and pending completion of all correct procedures. Visiting Students

University faculty may also invite visiting students to join their research. Learn more about eligibility criteria and the procedures for inviting these students with this Visiting Students policy.


Outgoing

BU researchers planning to work at and/or collaborate with other institutions–including, but not limited to, other universities, medical centers, federal research labs, and for-profit companies–may encounter a variety of policies, procedures and requirements. Researchers are encouraged to reach out to Technology Development (otd@bu.edu) with questions and concerns.

In most cases, research institutions will assert an interest in any intellectual property that is developed out of your work there. Consult with Technology Development to understand your rights and responsibilities.

Some institutions require Visiting Participation Agreements and institutional signatures. If you believe this requirement applies to you, please complete the form below.
