Opportunity Announcement: NEH Summer Seminar or Institute for Higher Education Faculty
NEH DEADLINES VARY FOR EACH OPPORTUNITY. NEH offers tuition-free opportunities for K-12 educators and higher education faculty to study a variety of humanities topics. Stipends of $1,200-$3,300 help cover expenses for these one- to four-week programs.

The National Science Foundation’s (NSF’s) Improving Undergraduate STEM Education (IUSE) Initiative is a Foundation-wide effort to accelerate improvements in the quality and effectiveness of undergraduate education in all STEM fields including the learning, social, behavioral, and economic sciences.
Limited Submission Opportunity: Collaborative Program Grant for Multidisciplinary Teams
DEADLINE: DECEMBER 16, 2019. This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is designed to support highly integrated research teams of three to six PD/PIs to address ambitious and challenging research questions that are important for the mission of NIGMS and are beyond the scope of one or two investigators. Collaborative program teams are expected to accomplish goals that require considerable synergy and managed team interactions.
Limited Submission Opportunity: Professional Formation of Engineers: Revolutionizing Engineering Departments
DEADLINE: DECEMBER 20, 2019. Revolutionizing Engineering Departments (hereinafter referred to as RED) is designed to build upon previous efforts in engineering education research. Specifically, previous and ongoing evaluations of the NSF Engineering Education and Centers Division program and its predecessors, as well as those related programs in the Directorate of Education and Human Resources, have shown that prior investments have significantly improved the first year of engineering students’ experiences, incorporating engineering material, active learning approaches, design instruction, and a broad introduction to professional skills and a sense of professional practice – giving students an idea of what it means to become an engineer.

Award Nomination Opportunity: Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards
DEADLINE: DECEMBER 20, 2019. The Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program supports the research and teaching careers of talented young faculty in the chemical sciences. Based on institutional nominations, the program provides discretionary funding to faculty at an early stage in their careers.
Limited Submission Opportunity: NSF Ethical and Responsible Research
DEADLINE: DECEMBER 20, 2019. Ethical and Responsible Research (ER2) funds research projects that identify (1) factors that are effective in the formation of ethical STEM researchers and (2) approaches to developing those factors in all STEM fields that NSF supports. ER2 solicits proposals for research that explores the following: “What constitutes responsible conduct for research (RCR), and which cultural and institutional contexts promote ethical STEM research and practice and why?” Do certain labs have a “culture of academic integrity?”
Limited Submission Opportunity: NEH Held in Trust: A National Convening on Conservation and Preservation
DEADLINE: DECEMBER 4, 2019. The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)’s Division of Preservation and Access is accepting applications for a three-year cooperative agreement of up to $500,000 to evaluate current national infrastructure in conservation and make recommendations to strengthen preservation of cultural heritage for present and future generations. Project activities will include planning and hosting a national convening for conservation and allied professionals, and publishing and disseminating a report establishing a national strategic vision for preservation and related resources for conservators, allied professionals, educators, professional organizations, thought leaders, and the general public.
